So, the romance between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy never quite measured up to what I thought it would be. However, the dialogue is this novel is excellent! I really got wrapped up in the characters that I would easily forget the time period in which it was written. Practically sounds modern at points. Can't say that for most classics!
It's nice that Elizabeth got everything she wanted in the end. All wrapped up in a pretty bow. Yes, she was a strong female and she learned about her "prejudices" and misconceptions, and by the end was even better than before. Mr. Darcy though, I would have liked a bit more emotional progression from him.
Anyway, who can really critique a classic? I enjoyed Pride and Prejudice and I'll probably read it again in the future.
