It has been some time since I had read the Odyssey. Honestly, I don't think I even read the whole thing when I first read it. I didn't remember Telemachus at all, so I must have just read the super interesting part about Ulysses's voyage.
After just finishing the Iliad, the Odyssey reads much cleaner. But it still lags on in that epic way where everything just goes on and on, nothing can be settled. I'm glad that everything went right in the end. In the translation I read, Penelope didn't seem to be acting too badly. Maybe Telemachus was a little anxious and helpless.
I thought the part about the suitors was really long. That's about half the story. It's a classic, so who am I to say anything?
